AIR, SMOKE AND / OR GAS

MULTI-LAYER

Compensators made of textile are used in ducts transporting air, fumes and / or gases, whether or not they are loaded with solid particles. Composed of one or more layers of “technical” fabrics, they are mainly used in installations such as thermal power stations, waste treatment, ovens in general, industrial boilers, ventilation, etc. This list is certainly not exhaustive.

COMPENSATION “WITHOUT LIMITS”

A textile compensation seal is able to withstand temperatures up to 1200 ° C and particularly aggressive fluids.
Textiles are by definition particularly flexible and depending on the operating conditions, they will consist of one or more layers. Each layer fulfills a specific role. Since they are always made “to measure” they adapt to almost any situation.

HOW TO CHOOSE ?

THE TYPE OF INSTALLATION IN THE SHAPE OF A “U” OR A “FLAT”

– To be delivered “closed”? or to be closed at the installation site, delivered “open”.

-Pierced or not?

-Range of movements to compensate? axial, lateral, angular …

-Operating temperature ? pressure? continuously and at startup.

-What fluid? acidic, alkaline, clean or not?

All this information is crucial, and even essential, to offer you the best textile compensator. Obviously a support plan would be ideal.

The “U” type, is generally used in simple situations, mounted directly on the flanges, they can be multilayer, but are not recommended at temperatures above 400 ° C. Often delivered closed, it allows easy replacement by any maintenance worker.

The “flat” type is, meanwhile, less expensive to manufacture and especially essential in case of greater pressures or the use of an insulation blanket. On the other hand, it requires installation on more specific flanges and a certain know-how for replacement. Of course, in these cases, you can always count on our qualified technicians (see “outsourcing”).

THE "CUSTOM" OF A TEXTILE COMPENSATOR

It is not only in its dimensions that a textile compensator is made “to measure”. Depending on the elements, we will be able to offer you an adequate composition of the various existing fabrics. This is know-how acquired over decades of experience. Each fabric has its role to play in the composition of a multilayer compensator, whether it is protection, insulation or waterproofing. (See table of technical characteristics of fabrics).

THE “HIGH TEMPERATURE” INSTALLATION

If our textile compensators are able to withstand very high temperatures, it is not only thanks to the exceptional resistance of our fabrics. It is sometimes necessary to reduce the internal temperature by means of an intermediate insulating protective mat before it reaches the outer sealing part. We will always offer you the most suitable solution for its use.

THE "CUSTOM" OF A TEXTILE COMPENSATOR

Although a “textile” compensator can be fitted directly to the duct flanges in many situations, certain circumstances require special attention in the construction of the metal parts used as a support. High temperatures requiring the installation of an intermediate mattress, solid parts or starting pressures requiring an internal protective deflector, all elements which determine a specific construction of the metal parts. We will be happy to study and offer you the best solution.
All installations today, whether old or new, are carried out with an ideal balance between cost and efficiency. To each his own, and ours is to provide you with the ideal compensator, mounted in the most ideal, practical and easiest way to set up and maintain. An investment that you will not regret at any time is to provide you with the compensators pre-mounted on flanges. Studied and built with the greatest care to withstand all the requirements imposed, all you have to do is insert them between the ducts in the shortest possible time. While being certain that you have the most suitable construction, you will have saved time, and therefore money, considerably now and in the future.
